ABSTRACT
The misuse and abuse of prescription opioid medications in the United States are incredibly high, but many people are un-aware of the dangers associated with them.
Understanding the opioid crisis is an informative look into the United States and its war on opioid medications. In the candy-colored pill hues, my infographic shares the reality of the opioid crisis, from the number of fatalities, to the rise in economic costs. To bring more awareness, my campaign posters serve as an informational tool that helps victims of opioid medications seek professional help, and inform all viewers that there are safer alternative pain medications such as cannabis and or other natural home remedies. Some studies show that instead of going cold turkey, the use of cannabis has been known to be a suitable exit medication for opiate addiction.
